SELF-WATERING BUCKETS

Limited garden space? Watering an issue?
You don’t need a large garden—or a daily watering routine—to grow successfully. Self-watering buckets use a water reservoir to provide moisture to plants from below, helping maintain more consistent moisture while making the most of small spaces. They’re a simple experiment for patios, balconies, small gardens, and busy gardeners.

SOIL BLOCKING

Looking for a different way to start your seeds?
Soil blocking lets you grow seedlings in compact blocks of growing mix instead of traditional plastic seed trays. The blocks can be made in different sizes as seedlings grow, making them easy to transplant while reducing the need for plastic containers. It’s an interesting technique to experiment with when starting seeds.
